I like the shade of green on the truck, looks very authentic.

Thanks Wolter, I had this paint made by a customer of mine, who matched it with an old Dinky Toy

May I introduce three lovely ladies showing their cabriolets?

Tekno Denmark: Mercedes Benz 300SL
Atlas Dinky Toys: Peugeot 404 Pininfarina
Meccano Dinky Toys: Triumph TR2

Unfortunately the lady with the Dinky Triumph Spitfire is absent.

Best Regards - Wolter.

Nice combinations of vehicles. One thing I notice about these that is also true with the full size 1:1 versions is most have sagging rear ends. The real ones loose their shocks and springs to fatigue over the years. Nice realism with out really trying.

Simca Aronde ; a charming French car. It started with a 1221cc and the last ones (P60) hasd a 1290 cc engine  . This one had 60 HP and had a maximum speed of 140 km/h.

It sold well

And a rare survivor in the Hague a year ago

Those are really nice. All your restorations?

Re: Nice combinations 1 year, 11 months ago #658

Gold Boarder
Thanks Jim,

No they are not all restorations, the Bedford "Beans" is an original Meccano Dinky and the Guy with the Ketchup bottle is a new Atlas Dinky from China.
The Guy Van "Beans" is a code 3 which I finished this summer.
The Leyland Octopus I built two years ago, the making of this one was described in the topic: Dinky Toys Leyland Octopus "HEINZ"
