I know, it's all utter rubbish so far. But I have restored a few.

I did it first like this:

But I didn't like it. So I did it again.

Sorry, no "before" photo.

It was a hangine wreck, trust me.
These later Dinkys are very complex and though to restore.

Nice to see your restorations. I agree on the color change and I would change that yellow too. Hurts the eyes on this side.
Did you do the chrome around the windows or is it from the factory like that? I do know some are.

The door frames are one piece with the door cards and door handles. The entire parts are plated.
I used replacements from SF.
Btw this isn't the ex-yellow Jensen Interceptor. It's the ex-burgundy Monteverdi 375L.

Thanks for the answer. I have seen windows like this before.
I was referring to the Alfa and the yellow you gave it.

Gold Boarder
Oh, the Alfa, yes. Well I just toned it down a notch.

Bug looks the part to me, as does the renner 16 of course and the Panhard.

What is the turquoise coupe car?

Gold Boarder
Oh, thanks. I have many more and restoration work is ongoing.

Re: The other man and his Dinky Toys 4 years, 2 months ago #15

Some, however, should never be restored.

So why, you may ask, should this not be restored?

Well, because there is this.
