Grand old Dinky's from times past alongside the original full scale vehicles is always pleasing.

August 2009 is when I restored the Brinks Van above for a customer. I have now acquired one for my self. I was happy to get it for under $50 shipping from Denmark included. About $33.00 for the truck. All it needed was a pair of mirrors for the front doors. I have them in stock so put them on this morning.
Here are some pictures and I think you will agree a good price for a Good to Very Good condition original Dinky Toy.

I have to glue the bars of gold back together as they are broken into single bars. There were also a couple headlight jewels, one about 5mm and the other about 2.5mm Wondered what they were in the ad on eBay.
All in all it was worth the wait to get one of these in such nice condition.

Chevrolet Impala Coupe from 1973, spotted in the wild. Not exactly a 100% match.... but I don't see these too often

Nice car and looks to be in great condition. Not cheap to run one of these over there.

Caprice was a more expensive car and had added features like nicer trim, bigger motor and as you see a different styling of the top body. I also had fender spats over the rear tires. You had to remove them to change a flat tire.

It's a long time since I have posted on this forum, so here is an extremely rare vehicle, probably the last one of it's type. I have thaken the photograph at Brooklands on June 30, 2007 and I hope that it has been restored now. There is also a Thompson refueling tender at the R.A.F. museum in Hendon but it is a later type.

How are things in the Netherlands ?

I am fine thank you, very bored with this lock down. but this gives me time to work on the Encyclopaedia for which I still find new colours, new variations, new mock-ups etc...

I am still interested in photos of the inside of original Meccano Dinky Toys.

All the best.
