I will apologize ahead of time for the low ratings, but I'm going to be brutally honest. I have judged many model car contests and look for certain criteria for a model to be worthy of higher ratings.

I admire the fact that you choose to redo an old kit. It looks as if your paint could be smoother. This especially shows under the Bare Metal Foil. Maybe a complete dip to remove all the older paint would have been in order.

The engine fits nice, but the alternator set-up does not fit with the blower. You could have added a mageneto to the rear and some plug wires. It's usually the first thing that builders add to a motor to detail it.

I realize that these older kits are not a great fit, so I'm not criticizing the overall kit. I feel that with practice, you could definately get some contest wins, you have all the basics.

I'm just trying to offer some constructive criticism and be honest. This is the way that I and the other judges would view the model if it were on the table at one of the shows.
