Forces of Valor
Nice detail for the size of these Macho Machines Military Series in the Forces of Valor by Unimax Toys Limited made in China.
Willys Jeep
Overall I like this Willys Jeep
Matchbox Main Battle Tank Abrams M1A1
Good to see Matchbox include tanks again. Although the scale is somewhere between Architectural to HO scale. This tank is slightly larger than the Corgi Fighting Machines Abrams M1A1 that is more to the 1-100 scale. When I say the Matchbox hanging on the racks at K-Mart I said to myself I just had to have this one to add to my collection of tanks. How good will this toy or model tank will stand up to continues play with children is hard to tell although this diecast and plastic tank should last for some time. Overall I think it is good value for the price.
Firer and Smoke
Contained within the scope of this particular Diorama, which brings to life the horrors and after effects from war. From the explosions that disintegrate what ever structure or person that lays within thy war path, is truly expressed within this diorama. This is represented by the scorched brickwork and smashed timber brick structure showing this destruction. While the splinters of history of someones pride and joy which also keeps the firer burning. Soldiers in the loll of battle slumber around on duty, while a lone soldier looks mystified into the makeshift fire pot in bewilderment. Thus giving the impression on just how cold and unforgiving war can be. I remember this particular diorama when it was posted in the Toy Collector blog arena. Very good skilled work indeed.
Symbolic Modernism
Symbolic modernism. Thus creating atmosphere and stillness from spring sunshine glistening into reality from the surrounding greenery. Where one can hear the whispers from the ages past, buried deep in the granite stone while lingering under the feet of Piccadilly Doll, as she stands by and awaits to be born into this new world. very good indeed.
Flaoting Y Buick
At first glance the Y Buick soft top leaps out as being the center of attraction from the naked eye. The scenery from the background horizon and drifting clouds of blue split the sky from the sea which is excellent. While in the foreground the outward tide marks in the sand, drawing the eye towards the car is again excellent. Thus giving the shadow effect of floating the car above the beach is evident, as no tyre marks lay in the sand. Very good photography to excellent.
Nature air loving car.
Well at least the production worker didn't try to put the window part back to front like in one issue many moons ago.
Old wheels do look better.
Although an error some collectors like to collect them. Maybe they run out of the new wheels so mixed a couple of up in production.
Quarry King
If this front-in-loader lasts like its predecessor, being the Tractor Shovel No 29 in 1976 and the production ran up till 2001. Although the base plate numbers had changed as much as the colour schemes did. Well almost. I think there was some 65 variants that were produced in colour alone. For the price and the durability of almost all Matchbox toys in the 1/64 scale, this Quarry King should go the distance. Actually I had purchased the yellow version when the Quarry King for its originality when it hit the stands in most of the shopping outlets or K-Marts in 2005.
Tractor Plow
The Plow Tractor incorporate modern design for a change by what real plant and equipment should enhance in detail.
Winch mechanism
Although the stars and strips are not necessary on this fine 6x6 military tractor, it would be nice to see the vehical number on side of the bonnet or (engine hood) indicating military ownership and task force identification plates would finish this fine detailed vehicle into the world of realism.
The winch in itself, shows just what can be turned into something completely different, than the purpose of what this part was intended for. Like sleeping, instead of pulling heavy snorers into sleeping cab by a winch.
Like new just out of the shop
Interesting to note that you actually sand blasted the die-cast, using air pressure and I presume a small sand blaster pick up gun attachment. As you said the sand may have been a little fine, although the photos indicates there wasn't any damaged at all to the metal surface. Good job on painting this model, including the rest of your vehicles. Well done.
Two for one
The use of those small cutting wheels are great, instead of the old hacksaw days of young. Your instructions for walking us through the chop and match process was great. Do you think you would be able to put the off cuts together, as it would also be interesting what the Rescue front end and the rear of the Humvee would turn out like. Then you would get two for two there mate.
Well done mate
Nice job, but I only cut up wrecks for re-birthing or modifications like chop and channel, but all the same it came out to look really good.
