Long Road Home

Toy Photography

Technical Set-up My shutter speed was 1/100 and my aperture was F16. I shot with a fixed 60mm lens at 400 ISO.

It's easy to see why I call this Long Road. The silhouette andpartial lighting makes the men look exhausted, as if trudging back froma major skirmish. I have a series of these photos, all using army men.

This shot took me a while to get right. I fell into it by accident then worked to get the desired affect.I used one of my wife's skirts as a backdrop off the back of a chairand with the help of a friend's lighting system, was able to get areddish haze as a background. The little plastic army men werefantastic to work with. They never complained once.
