40 Ford PU built as an illegal road racer.

Drug a 40 Ford PU out of the junk yard. Pretty rusty to do much with so I used what I could of the sheet metal, added fiberglass panels and stuck it all together with some spit and bailing wire. NO money to make it look good, spent it all on the motor/drivetrain and tires!

Dumped the fenders, chopped away at most of the front sheet metal. Added a "rumble bucket" style roll cage. Made the whole body one piece to lighten it F/C style.

Love the feel of this one - it's not easy to build something so it looks like the vehicle itself been roughly put together without making it look either too nice or just like a badly assembled kit, but you managed it brilliantly. The primer looks fantastic!

This is a nice looking build of an illegal street machine. Would look good on the drag strip just outside of town getting ready to race. A nice scene or diorama would really do this justice. More detail shots or close ups of the engine, and work would have been nice.
