Porsche 911 Targa Hot

Porsche 911 Targa
Porsche 911 Targa

A Burago Porsche 911 rebuild as a 911 Targa.

Everything opens on this model and the rooftop is removable. The panoramic rear window, b-pillar, roof, whale-tail, mirror and quarterwindows all come from a plastic kitset that unfortunatly fell apart. The diecast kitset of Burago lent the stability of the body and chassis needed to recreate a true classic sportscar.

You need to work on your presentation some. Nice idea and well done. Again, Pictures do not do this justice. Keep at it, Good Job. Jn

Very cleverly done (although if the Burago model started out as a kit, I really, really hope it was the more common Rally version and not the super-rare 911 California kit!!!! The period colour is a nice choice, and the parts fit nicely. I'd be interested to know how much fettling you had to do, or whether they just slotted straight in. I do think you need slightly clearer, higher-res pics, tho - these don't quite do it justice and make it hard to see the workmanship.

Oh yeah, and IMO, even tho this looks great, it would be an absolute piece de resistance if you had those curly-font 70's "Carrera" stripe decals along the side at the bottom of the doors!
