One of the all time favorites, Monogram’s 1932 Ford 3 window coupe makes the rounds again, this time in the “Classic Cruiser“ line. This is considered to be one of the best Deuce kits ever made.
Fenders and running boards are separate, so this can be built either with them or as a highboy. The hood is in three pieces and the side parts are louvered. The front windsheild frame is a chrome part. Headlights are chrome buckets and clear lenses. Bumpers appear to be stock.
The interior builds up on a platform, with separate bench seat and door panels. Original style pedals are provided for the floor. The three-spoke steering wheel attaches to a colum with both turn signal and shift levers. The instrument panel is a chrome part separate from the dashboard.
The engine is a modern 5.0 engine with an automatic transmission. The engraving and detail on this motor is great. It has several chrome accessories. The fan is an electric unit.
Wheels are Torque Thrusts, with tires that have no sidewall detail but a very good tread. Decals are provided should you wish to have whitewalls. The front axle is a dropped unit, in chrome. The rear axle has a separate rear cover. Four wheel disc brakes are provided, along with separate shocks all the way around.
The decal sheet, while small, has quite a bit. In addition to the whitewalls, there are flames, scallops, license plates, dashboard gauges in both black and white, and a few iron crosses.
