A really nice kit with lots of detail. Oddly, it’s labeled as an “SS” model, but there are no SS emblems on the decal sheet or on the body of the car kit.

The body is the hardtop style, ribbed to resemble a convertible with the top raised. Headliner detail is engraved into the underside of the roof. There are lots of separate chrome trim pieces. The rear bumper and taillight panel is molded as one unit. Head and tail lights are clear and clear red, respectively.

The interior builds up on a platform. The side panels look to have everything arm rests, window cranks, reflectors, even the handle to pull to open the door (Note: the doors do not open on this model.) The three pedals are molded as part of the dashboard, which is itself finely engraved, except for the part where the speedometer goes - that is taken care of by a separate chrome piece. A turn signal lever is molded to the steering column, and there is a separate tachometer to mount on the column as well. Sun visors are also separate parts.

The engine is a well done 409, with such detail as dual carbs, generator bracket, and choice of stock or custom valve covers and air cleaner.

The chassis is as good as the rest of the kit. Separate exhaust, suspension, and steering shaft are just some of the goodies you’ll find. There are also optional springs and blocks for raised suspension, and optional disc brakes for all four corners. A choice of stock or custom rolling stock mounts in place with the metal pins that have been coming in Revell kits for the past few years. Stock hubcaps have separate spinners.

The decal sheet, for the most part looks great. It has custom graphics, three sets of plates, rotor detail for the disc brakes, seat inserts and other interior details, a choice of custom or stock dashboard gauges, , and stock side spears in red or white. However, for some reason, the front and rear emblems, which mount to the hood and trunk, are missing the blue bowtie emblems in the center. I’m at a loss to explain why - there are a few others on the sheet, so it can’t be a licensing issue. Additionally, although the kit states on the box that it is an “SS”, there are no SS emblems on the sheet at all.
