2002 marked the 35th anniversary of Chevy’s iconic Camaro. It also marked the announcement that the Camaro would no longer be produced (like we believed that!).
The front and rear bumpers are separate, as is the trunk spoiler. The edges of the glass are frosted, which will make detailing them a breeze. All lenses are separate, molded in clear and clear red.
Inside, the door panels are separate. The brake pedal and master cylinder is an assembly which attaches to the firewall, which is part of the interior tub. The dashboard actually attaches to the underside of the body before assembly.
The engine looks great. I think it’ll find it’s way into many a street rod project. Nearly everything is separate, and it even includes a decal for the oil filler cap.
The chassis is likewise terrific. Front and rear suspensions are well detailed, with separate disc brakes, springs, and two piece wheels. Anniversary rims are an option.
On the decal sheet are body graphics, including stripes for the 35th anniversary version, seat insers, body emblems for either SS or Z28, dashboard decals, underhood stickers, license plates, and even a decal for the roof to represent T-tops.
I’d like to add that the instruction sheet is very helpful, with hints on various things like the direction of the tires and installation of the interior glass unit.
