The Other Matchbox Toys 1947-2004

The other identification and value guide for the rest of the Matchbox range, including: Major Pack, Kingsize, Super Kings, Speed Kings, Models of Yesteryears (incl. plated MoY), Skybusters and more.
Thanks to this book I was able to win many auctions on the Yesteryear Models. Especially the plated models which are collected by very few ppl. Ofcourse there are always those that collect one brand only, Like the Model A Ford, or the RAF Crossley.
Ironically I find this book has a few gaps in it. Especially when it comes to the early Matchbox Dinky range I find I have certain models that should be in there but just aren't.
On the whole just like the 75-series Mr Johnson opted for an alphabetical approach to his cataloging.
Personally I wish he'd had separated the various model ranges in their respective series like the MoY for example. Now, unless you flip over the model to see its name, every make and model are listed by their brand names.
Although incomplete it still shows a massive amount of memorabilia that somehow is a little bit more attainable and one can opt out of an auction of you so desire.
This guide is fantastic for everyone, from beginner to the old pro.
Kind Regards, Richard K
Informative, but could have more

Overall a good guide to buy if you want to get that toycar and have an edge to purchase your next collectible. With these prices you can opt out early before the other person does. Always a good thing.
I wish there were more pictures.
Funny how there are a couple of cars I have that aren't in the book.
