Antique Toy Month at Greene County Museum

Categories // News

June is Antique Toy Month at the Greene County Museum in Arkansas. A huge variety of old toys will be on display this month, including boats, games, stuffed animals and a 100-year-old handmade doll.

Much of the collection on display is owned by Lisa Woolridge, Facility Enhancement Coordinator at the Greene Acres Nursing Home. Lisa’s collection includes all sorts of toys and other items, including a rare Davy Crockett lunch box. She credits many of the residents of Greene Acres with teaching her about the antiques in her collection.

“I never buy anything to resell. I buy it to save and preserve it,” she said.

The museum, which contains many historical items, will accept antique toys on loan all month. It is located at 130 South 14th Street, Paragould, AR 72540. Admission is free, but donations for the museum’s upkeep are appreciated.
