Our This time round, we're going down under for Member of the Month again. It's Dinkydi.

Dinkydi has been a huge asset to the site, being very active in all our diecast forums, as well as contributing data on Hallmark for ToyPedia in the form of lists and images (I couldn't find a big enough image of your Cadillac avatar to use here, Dinkydi, so I used one of your pics of a Hallmark Corvette instead!)

He's also a member of both the Dinky and Corgi groups and has recently been one of a number of you who've helped out with feedback on the site. So a big thank-you to Dinkydi for being such a great member of the community!

Our This time round, our Member of the Month is JimLindsay.

A long-time collector and document-er of Wells Brimtoy, Jim has been diligently cataloguing the classic brand for ToyPedia, creating lists of their products and a structure for the data, and taking and uploading photos from his own collection.

Thanks to Jim, we're well on the way to having a complete catalogue of Brimtoy in ToyPedia (of course, if you have a favourite brand you'd like to see on there and would like to do the same as Jim, just drop me an email on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). But for right now, a big thank you to him for his hard work, and congrats on being member of the month!

Our Member of the Month this time round is toy-tek.

A huge Tekno fan, and a member of our marketplace partner NAMAC,he’s given us access to his vast reserves of Tekno-related data, including picture and details about colour variants, all of which has helped build up the Tekno pages on ToyPedia. He's also been one of the most enthusiastic marketplace proponents, having already listed lots of the fantastic Tekno Models he has up for sale!

We also particularly liked how when we were chatting to him last, he mentioned that the market reminded him of the early days of eBay - back when it was fun!

So a big thanks to toy-tek, for getting so involved and congrats on being Member of the Month!

Our Member of the Month for August is Karl.

A highly active forum poster since he joined the site, Karl is also a member of the Corgi Toys Group. On the forums, Karl is a reaissance man, posting about dieast vehicles and plenty of other stuff too, like Elastolin castles. But we particularly like how he's always there helping others with advice or answers to their questions - after all, TC is a community which partly exists so newcomers can find information about their stuff (and the more-expert can fill in gaps in their knowledge!) And Karl's amazing research skills have often yielded answers to many of the knottiest questions!

So thanks to Karl, for being such a standard-bearer for TC's values, we're happy he's here!

Member of the Month for December is sthubert92!

A collector of Norev and maker of the most amazing Dinky-based models, he's been enthralling us with his creations in the forums ever since the site began. Chances are, if it's a Dinky model you've never seen before, like a model kit Peugeot 404, Studebaker Woody Wagon or Fantomas' Citroen DS, and you've found it on Toy Collector, it'll be one of his creations! You can also see them on his site here.

Thanks sthubert92, for sharing your fantastic work with the community and as ever, we look forward to the next one!

Whoops, I got these all a little out-of-sync! But we're back on track now!

Member of the Month for October is Ian!

Ian is a collector of Hot Wheels and action figures - as long as they're Spider-Man related ones, that is. In fact, you've likely read his great blog post about collecting Spider-Man-abilia - and all his other fantastic writing on the site. In addition to being a prolific blogger, though, Ian has also attended Fan Expo Canada on behalf of Toy Collector and blogged for us from there and is also a reviewer for the site.

So thanks to Ian for taking us up on the offer to attend events on behalf of the site (open to all of you out there, of course!) and for doing such a great job in the process!

Who's Member of the Month, you ask? It's amarsden5!

A collector of oddities in 1/64 and 1/43, including plastic copy models, jeeps, Corgi Juniors, Playart, Tomica, Siku and Blue Box, plus all things Sunbeam Alpine/Tiger, amarsden5 gets the honour for starting another forum thread that's gotten really long, but in a really short space of time (I haven't been keeping count, but I think it might be a speed record). This one's all about one of his main collecting interests - Playart, and has just hit 16 pages with lots of great pics from him and other members!

Thanks for the great contributions, amarsden5, you've clearly got the art of picking a popular forum topic down perfect!

June's Member of the Month is Dinkycollect.

Having collected Dinkies since 1952, Dinkycollect is the author of the Dinky Toys Encyclopaedia on DVD and has been sharing his extensive knowledge and fantastic collection with us in the forums for two years now. He's also had some great suggestions for ways we can improve the site, and as we're always looking for feedback from members and users, we like that very much.

Many thanks, Dinkycollect, your expertise and input is much appreciated!

May's Member of the Month is Elky!

Elky has entered no less than TEN of his fantastic model kit builds and customisations in the model car kit competition, which is something of a record! Especially given the amazing skill level he's building at! You can check them all out - and vote on them, of course - here in the current round of the model car kit building competition.

Your only difficulty will be trying to decide which out of all of them you like best! Many thanks Elky, and keep up the good work!

This time round, we have joint Members of the Month, both picked for their services to the Toy Collector forum. First up, Michael77 is the starter of the longest thread in the history of Toy Collector, "Steed's Jaguar coupe and other never produced Dinky Toys" which has notched up a whopping 36 pages of posts! He shares the hours with Dinky Boy, appropriately enough, who is the starter of the ingenious "50 increasing race numbers. Or 500..." thread (read the first post to see exactly how that works!), which I'd have started myself had I thought of it first!

Great stuff guys!

Our Member of the Month for March is sberry.

Since joining the site, sberry has shared some of his wonderful 1/72 Roman historical dioramas with us via his blog, showing both the fantastic finished pieces and how they were created with some truly amazing photographs. He has also agreed to moderate a new forum about 1/72 figures that we will be launching soon and which we're very excited about!

Many thanks, sberry, or should I say gratias tibi ago.
