He-Man was the most powerful man in the universe! Together with the rest of the Masters of the Universe, they ruled the fantasy and imagination of every boy in the 80's.
He-Man & the Masters of the Universe were a very big part of my childhood and I can still remember getting a MOTU figure at the end of the month when my dad got his pay. Weekend was always with my cousins playing He-Man.
Since they were such iconic symbols of the 80's, I had to do paper toys out of them. Hence I give you He-Man and his great nemisis, Skeletor!

Spotted some "cool designer chairs" in a shop called u2me at Plaza Singapura. At first glance, I knew it was in the same scale as the 12" figures so I bought them in case my 12" figures needed some chairs to sit on...LOL.
The chairs fit 12" figures pretty well so it will work well as props for 12" diorama. I guess they were meant to be Ipod or hand phones holders and they come in a variety of colors too.
On a separate note, I do recommend going down to the shop as it does sell pretty cool stuff, like space invaders ice tray & cool porcelain mugs made to look like crushed paper cups and white paper cups you get at your Starbucks and Coffee Bean (just to name a few). It does make cool Christmas presents.

Only just last week, I found out that OG at Orchard (Singapore) was selling the Dragonball Evolution and X-men Origins toys for more than 50% discount. Good price but unfortunately on crappy toy line.
Toys R Us on the other hand is now having sale and the line up is so much better (Mostly on San Diego Comic Con Exclusives). I saw these at Toys R Us Forum.

I am liking what Sideshow is doing with their GI Joe line. After Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander and Cobra Trooper, we are now getting Cobra Sniper. It does look super cool. However I don't recall this design in any of the GI Joe toyline, hence I will not be picking this up. But it looks so good...

Plans for the SM Taytay event went underway what to bring on set-up night. Dane aka Skyfire drops by just to have casual chit chat, since he'll be going back to Texas with his family. Until the next meet-up just chillin' kids.

What: Post-STGCC at Transformers Meet-Up When: August 22nd, 2009 Where: Starbucks Megastrip Time: 2PM onwards Happenings: After MC's successful trip from Singapore a meeting preparation for the Animation Festival at SM Taytay happening on September 19 to October 2, 2009. We'll be setting up there on September 18th, and to think we are not serious. We're just having the usual chit chat among fans.

I always loved the Superman portrayed by the late Christopher Reeves (God bless his soul) & my favorite Superman movie was Superman 2. This was mainly due to the 3 villains (General Zod, Ursa & Non) which had exactly the same power as Superman!
It is pretty amazing that 3 of them with exactly the same power as Superman still could not finish Superman off. In the end, Superman managed to trick them into losing their powers...talk about brains over brawl.
I realized that I did not have the greatest superhero in my paper toy collection hence decided to do one...in the end I threw in the bad guys also.

My take on a mold with so much

I have not been to the flea market at China Square Central for many months but you just can't separate CSC from a toy collector. Hence with wife and child in tow, we went to CSC on Sunday to see if I can pick up anything to add to my collection.

We reached CSC at around 1.30pm and it was quite crowded. There were some stalls with "Sale - Only today" & "Everything must go!" signs. I had fun walking around and looking at what was on sale.

Thanks to Dennis for linking me up with Alan as I also managed to meet up with him and get my hands on some vintage Machine Robo aka Gobots. Majority of the Robots were in bad shape (loose joints, paint wear and missing parts) but I was happy that I was able to obtain back some of the items of my youth.
