Human Alliance Barricade and Mudflap

Categories // Action Figures, Transformers Live Action Movie, Syndicated Blogs

Two more toys are joining the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Human Alliance sub class. One is Barricade with Frenzy and another is Mudflap with Simmons & Chromia which essentially mirrors the Skids with Mikaela & Arcee set. I will wait on Peaugh's reviews before making any final decisions but the Human Alliance toys have turned out to be pretty good (if a touch overpriced).

Time Lapse of Final Batte Set Construction

Categories // Action Figures, Transformers Live Action Movie, Syndicated Blogs

EarthCam.net has posted a video of a time lapse of the construction of the Final Battle set for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico which I think occurred around June 2008. It gets some of the early filming but not of any of the big explosions and resulting destruction of the set. A set constuction like this helps give you an idea of the sheer volume of hard work that can go into a movie. Thanks to David for the links especially the flash file so could upload to YouTube.

Unused Track from Transformers

Categories // Action Figures, Transformers Live Action Movie, Syndicated Blogs

Here is a video of sorts that has an unused track from Transformers called "A Call To Arms" by Steve Jablonsky. I am not entirely clear if this is from the first or second but the use of Prime's theme and the sound suggests the first film. I wonder what spot it was originally intended for? Thanks to Benizzle for the link.

Alternity Bumblebee and Cliffjumper Video Review

Categories // Action Figures, Transformers Live Action Movie, Syndicated Blogs

Peaugh has posted new Transformers video reviews, this time for Alternity Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. Alternity is Japan exclusive Transformers line that is a successor to the Binal-Tech/Alternators toy line. The result is a detailed, complex transformation that gives your classic characters a real world alt mode from real car companies. The toys are now available for $50-$60 (my store recommendations: BigBadToystore.com, TFSource.com and Digital-Toys). Overall the toys are looking sweet. I plan on ordering them to add to my Alternity and Binal-Tech collection.

Little update on my side

Categories // Action Figures, Astro Galaxy, Syndicated Blogs

Haven't been blogging much these days.
My mood was not good either.
Well it all had to be traced back to last month, Friday the 13th!
I came home in the afternoon, on my computer and it just wouldn't start up.
The first thing that came to my mind was .... Ahhhhhhh, I haven't backup my files and photos.
Oh no.... oh no...........
The system prompt me to select this, select that...etc.
The error code flashed as fast as lighting speed and I couldn't pause it to write it down.
So I called the Fujitsu customer service but the technican who picked up the phone was not helpful at all.
He plainly said "Just bring it down and we'll check it for you."
As if it's not going to cost me a bomb bring it down to them.
I could actually chose to reformatted the entire disk since the computer was still able to boot up but I need to try to see if I can rescue my photos files first.
No choice, I brought my lifebook to a computer repair shop.
The guy told me it's 99% harddisk failure.
I got my harddisk replaced at $110 but if I want to retrieve my data, it's another 60 dollars.
Seeing that I didn't want to pay another $60, he offered to charged me $10 for retrieving some part of the files which are more important.
Good thing was that I was able to get some of my photo files back but I just realised yesterday that I've not back up some of my Star Wars collectibles photos that I've recently taken...

Followed by the next day that my computer crashed, my entire marine fish tank got wiped out. All the fishes died. One even jump out of the tank and got itself killed.
I test the water, the ph...etc.
Couldn't indenitify the problem.
Cleaned the tank and refill it with new saltwater.
I let it run for another week and brought some damsels fish to try again.
It happened just like before, one by one they died.
I still couldn't identify the problem except that I've found one that got fungus.
Though I've been keeping marine fishes on and off for 15 over years now, this time I'm really at a loss.
Decided that I wouldn't want to harm anymore of the little fishes, I cleaned out the entire tank.

My dog kept bitting newspaper and eating it, worried that would upset her stomach.

Car insurance rose sky high!

Buy new electrical extenstion plug, new plug also spolit.

Then there are still many bits and pieces of here and there - unhappiness ... which I don't think I would continue to write. Money, family, health...etc. I just hope that all will be bettter soon.

Originally, this excellent blog was about Star Wars but has now deviated out to other stuff

In the original G1 animation series he appears as one of the cassettes, that transforms into creatures or humanoid. In the original Marvel Comics series that was released in UK Ratbat has a humanoid form. Before Ratbat came to be what we know in the cartoons he was actually became a Decepticon leader. This was seen in one of the UK released comics. It was not explained if his humanoid form was his original appearance prior to coming to planet Earth. Paper Toys Emperor's Royal Guard

Categories // Action Figures, Little Plastic Man, Syndicated Blogs

Elegant and deadly, these are the hallmarks of the crimson-clad Royal Guard that is sworn to protect the Emperor at all costs.
What I love about the royal guards are the flowing red robes and the sleek, featureless scarlet mask which obscures their faces.
In paper, I bring to you the Emperor's Royal Guard.
Enjoy!

SideShow Firefly

Categories // Action Figures, Little Plastic Man, Syndicated Blogs

Yeah! Another GI Joe from Sideshow. This time we get Firefly.
This is a really interesting interpretation of Firefly by Sideshow and I think this design will grow on you. It has elements of the original design from the 80's toyline yet updated to look relevant today.

There is an exclusive version which includes an extra accessory, the I.E.D. (Improvised Explosive Device). Well I can live without that.

You can read my review on Sideshow Snake Eyes here.

Too early to update the banner this time!

Categories // Action Figures, Little Plastic Man, Syndicated Blogs

It is only Nov and I have already updated my Liverpool trophies banner twice. If our form continues like this, I will most probably be crossing out the other two trophies pretty soon.
Sign...in the early morning of Wednesday, Liverpool crashes out of the Champions League, a competition in which we were pretty dominant in the past seasons. Now we have to contest for the UEFA cup. (and I am not going to add that into my banner!)
I did however noticed something...since SingTel won the exclusive rights to show Champions League matches from StarHub, Liverpool crashes out from the competition! I shudder to think of next season when SingTel will have the exclusive rights to the BPL...will Liverpool be relegated...(touch wood!)...
The future looks bleak but You Will Never Walk Alone.

What a lovely day

Categories // Action Figures, Little Plastic Man, Syndicated Blogs

Went down to CSC with the family today just to "see, see"...however ended up buying a few big ticket items. You know it is going to be a lovely day when you have to go down to the ATM machine twice to withdraw money to pay for your purchases...LOL.

My Toy Haul:
1) Mattel 12" Ghostbusters Ray Stantz
2) DX Joker
3) Soldier Story US 2nd Ranger "Naked" body.

Will not be opening up most of my new purchases as I will be moving house in Feb 2010. I will keep them nice and snug in their packaging for easier transportation.
I did however take a peak at the DX Joker and boy was I blown away! Too bad I can't take him out to review but you can read the review at Alex's Toy Haven.

It was a great day but it seems that my ATM card did not enjoy it...it seems to have comatose (it will feel much better tomorrow)! Too much withdrawal in a day!...LOL
