He's got no real loyalty towards Megatron, but the Decepticons always pay on time, better than the Elite Guard, and allow him access to the systems upgrades he craves. A brand new series TransFormers War For Cybertron by Activision reveals a new trailer, and it looks bloody awesome. Despite the worrying lack of Frank Welker, this video should be a great treat for fans of the proper Transformers. Something to bring back the franchise to its original roots Pre-Michael Bay visions. This is something worth taking a look who remembers Transformers The War Within published by Dreamwave in 2005.

In the original G1 animation series he appears as one of the cassettes, that transforms into creatures or humanoid. In the original Marvel Comics series that was released in UK Ratbat has a humanoid form. Before Ratbat came to be what we know in the cartoons he was actually became a Decepticon leader. This was seen in one of the UK released comics. It was not explained if his humanoid form was his original appearance prior to coming to planet Earth.
