1982 DE LOREAN 'BACK TO THE FUTURE III' DIECAST MODEL CAR 1:18

Categories // Diecast From Films, Syndicated Blogs, Diecast Vehicles

Back to the Future Part III is the third and final installment of the Back to the Future trilogy. The film is a science fiction western, using the time travel premise of the series to take Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd) back to the Old West of 1885. Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) receives a 70-year-old letter from his inventor friend, Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd), who tells Marty that he has retreated a century in time to live out a relatively quiet life in the Old West. Doc Brown reveals that he hid his De Lorean car/time machine in an abandoned mine outside town, and when Marty does some research and discovers that the Doc died shortly after writing the letter, he decides to find the car, travel back in time, and warn the Doc about his demise. Meanwhile, the Doc, who has fallen in love with a local woman (Mary Steenburgen), realizes he can't hide in the past from the problems he has caused to the time flow in the previous two adventures. He reluctantly decides to return to the present with Marty, but first, they have to find a way to get the De Lorean up to time-travel velocity with a broken fuel line and no gasoline. (Don Kaye, All Movie Guide)

Sun Star made a few 1:18 scale replicas of the De Lorean because, for people who are familiar with the Back the to Future trilogy, the time machine went through a lot of changes in the course of these three movies. In my opinion, this replica is the most beautiful and interesting of them all. It is an ornamental model and, for people who are not very familiar with what 1:18 scale means (like I was before I got these models), it means that the car is approximately 24 cm or 10 inches long. It is not plastic, but metal for the most part, and the doors of the car open. Like in the other De Lorean models, what you get is not only a perfect replica of the exterior of the car, but also of the interior. You can see the time circuits, the gauge indicating the boiler temperature (the boiler of the train that was pushing the De Lorean up to the speed of 88 mph, for those who remember the third movie) and a lot of other interesting details. Adding to this the fact that the car actually stand on a replica of a section of a railway, this model is clearly my favorite. It's the perfect decoration for not only a fan of Back to the Future part III, but also for anybody who can appreciate a very well made scale model. Highly recommended! DELOREAN TIME MACHINE 'BACK TO THE FUTURE II'

Categories // Diecast From Films, Syndicated Blogs, Diecast Vehicles

Back to the Future Part II is a 1989 film and a sequel to the 1985 film Back to the Future. Like the previous film, it was directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. Part II and the third installment of the trilogy, Back to the Future Part III, were filmed back-to-back and released six months apart. Although released in 1989 and 1990, both films continued to portray 1985 as the present due to them following on directly from the first film.

Part II follows the continued adventures of Marty McFly and "Doc" Emmett Brown as they use their time-traveling De Lorean, which is now capable of flight, to travel to a retro-futuristic version of 2015, an alternate 1985 and the principal setting of the first film in 1955. The film ends with a cliffhanger that is resolved in Part III.

'BACK TO THE FUTURE' TIME MACHINE

Categories // Diecast From Films, Syndicated Blogs, Diecast Vehicles

Back to the Future is a 1985 Academy Award-winning science fiction€“adventure-comedy film directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg. Zemeckis wrote the story, along with Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Fox as teenager Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as scientist Dr. Emmett L. Brown.

The film's basic storyline involves the premise of time travel being used to breach the generation gap. In a De Lorean time machine invented by Dr. Emmett L. Brown, Marty accidentally travels back to the year 1955 when his parents were teenagers. Having interfered with their first meeting, Marty must ensure that his young parents fall in love so that he will be born. Furthermore, the Dr. Brown of 1955 must find a way to return Marty to 1985 without the plutonium necessary to fuel the journey.
Due to the film's success, three spin-off projects were made. CBS TV aired an animated series, Back to the Future: The Animated Series and Harvey Comics released a handful of similarly styled comic books, although their stories were original and not merely duplicates of the films. In 1991, Universal Studios Theme Parks opened a simulator ride based on the series called Back to the Future: The Ride. The ride closed on March 30, 2007 in Orlando, FL, and September 3, 2007 in Hollywood, California. The ride remains open at Universal Studios Japan.
This is Sun Star 1:18 scale 'Back to the Future' Time Machine. Better known as the De Lorean, this model has been fitted with a wealth of extra detail to make it the famous car from the €˜Back to the Future€™ film trilogy. 1963 CADILLAC FROM THE MOVIE SCARFACE

Categories // Diecast From Films, Syndicated Blogs, Diecast Vehicles

Scarface is a 1983 film directed by Brian De Palma, written by Oliver Stone and starring Al Pacino as Tony Montana. A loose remake of the 1932 Howard Hawks gangster film of the same title, it tells the story of a fictional Cuban refugee, who comes to Florida in 1980 as a result of the Mariel Boatlift.

Montana becomes a gangster against the backdrop of the 1980s cocaine boom. The film chronicles his rise to the top of Miami's criminal underworld and subsequent downfall in Greek tragedy fashion. The film is dedicated to Howard Hawks and Ben Hecht, who were the writers of the original Scarface.

The critical response to the film was mixed and received criticism for the violence and graphic language. Despite this, the film did well at the box office and has since gathered a cult following. Scarface has become an important cultural icon for many rap artists and fans, inspiring posters, clothing, and many other references. The film's grainy black and white poster is a very popular decoration and is still in production.

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG : THE MAGICAL CAR (1)

Categories // Diecast From Films, Syndicated Blogs, Diecast Vehicles

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: The Magical Car is a children's novel written by Ian Fleming for his son Caspar, with illustrations by John Burningham. It was first published in 1964 by Jonathan Cape in London and Random House in New York, and later made into a successful film.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a 1968 feature film with a script by Roald Dahl and Ken Hughes. It starred Dick Van Dyke as Caractacus Potts and Sally Ann Howes as Truly Scrumptious. The film was directed by Ken Hughes and produced by Albert R. Broccoli, best known as co-producer of the James Bond series of films, also based on Fleming's novels.

The film went significantly over budget, but was a box office hit. Although it received favorable reviews in the UK, Europe, and the East Coast of the United States, Hollywood was unkind in its reviews. The movie has become a children's classic.

Though there was once a real car called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Ian Fleming used the name in his children€™s story for a magical motor which would float and fly as well as travel by road, and for the film a car was literally created for the title role. Its appearance is that of a typical €œtouring carriage€ of motoring€™s early years, with its brass radiator. Marchal headlights, outside handbrake and €œsnake€ horn. The bonnet conceals a modern Ford engine however and of course. Caractacus Potts€™ special modifications which include wings and stabilizers-are essential additions.

POPEYE'S PADDLE WAGON

Categories // Diecast From Films, Syndicated Blogs, Diecast Vehicles

A production of the die-casting car was produced from the cartoon or the cinema was much preferred to collect it. For me, I am also interested too. It might be the way I work in this line to be playful with the special the performer of the die-cast. One of the companies who produced much more die-casting car from the cinema is Corgi.

Popeye€™s Paddle Wagon, from the Popeye cartoon series is one of the importance of Corgi. It produced in between 1971-1972. It has two sizes, a big one 802 (12.6 cm) and the smaller one is Corgi Juniors No.1008.

Popeye the Sailor is a fictional hero famous for appearing in comic strips and animated films as well as numerous TV shows. He was created by Elzie Crisler Segar, and first appeared in the daily King Features comic strip Thimble Theatre on January 17, 1929.

In 1933, Max and Dave Fleischer's Fleischer Studios adapted the Thimble Theatre characters into a series of Popeye the Sailor theatrical cartoon shorts for Paramount Pictures. These cartoons proved to be among the most popular of the 1930s, and the Fleischers€”and later Paramount's own Famous Studios€”continued production through 1957.

Since then, Popeye has appeared in comic books, television cartoons, a 1980 live-action film (Popeye, directed by Robert Altman), arcade and video games, and hundreds of advertisements and peripheral.

This die-cast Popeye€™s Paddle Wagon, was a good example for using imagination in design. It completed with Popeye scanning the sea through his telescope, Olive rocking back and forth at the wheel, Swee€™ Pea rocking in his cradle, and the heads of Wimpy and Bluto bobbing up and down as the car€™s simulated paddle wheels roll.

AN NICE PIECE FOR THE BAT-FAN Of THE '60s,

Categories // Diecast From Films, Syndicated Blogs, Diecast Vehicles

The Batcycle is the fictional personal motorcycle of comic book superhero Batman. In the comic book universe, Batman's personal Batcycle is a modified street-bike with a 786 cc liquid-cooled V-4 engine. It contains a computer-controlled carburetor and bulletproof wind-guard.

The Batcycle made its first appearance in 1966 in the Batman TV series. It was a 1959 Harley Davidson with a side car, but it was taken on lease and was only used for the first season episode "Not Yet, He Ain't".

The Batcycle was one of the many vehicles used by Batman and Robin in Batman: The Animated Series. The Batcycle was themed to look like Batman's other vehicles, the Batmobile, Batwing, and Batboat. Batman would use it in certain episodes, as would Robin. Perhaps the most important part the Batcycle played in the series was in the movie Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, where Batman jumped off the Batcycle so it would crash into a giant fan that was being controlled by the Joker. The Batcycle saw a little more use from Robin, particularly in the episode "Robin's Reckoning." Robin would continue to use a variation of the Batcycle in later seasons after he had become Nightwing.

Although this Hot Wheels diecast is nowhere near as accurate as it's companion piece, the 1:50 scale 1966 TV Batmobile, it's still a nice little replica. Informed sources claim that it's based on the old 60's Aurora model kit, scaled down, and a visual comparison of the two does show several matching details. To be truthful, the toy should more accurately be described as 1:30 scale, as it is larger in comparison to the Batmobile than an actual 1:50 scale toy would be, but if it was in scale to the car, it would be tiny. While some shapes and proportions are a bit off, it's still a nice looking piece that represents the bike seen in the 1966 movie, and most of the television series, pretty well ( this design was actually the second used - in an early episode there was a far more generic looking cycle, used only once ). Robin's sidecar go-kart is included and is held in the package by a piece of monofilament, but have no fear; once the filament is removed, the kart can be secured in place in the sidecar on a small post. Despite it's size, this is more of a display item for the adult collector, rather than a toy for a modern child. While the bike and go-kart do roll, the steering is fixed, and a child would probably be less than enthused about playing with it (especially since there are no accompanying figures of Batman and Robin. Still for the adult Batman fan, it's a nice little replica that will look very attractive sitting on a shelf or desk. (Review by Davidp.)

This is Mattel Hot Wheels 2007 New Models 1:64 Scale Black 1966 Television Series Batmobile Die Cast Car #015 ...This Car Is very Very Rare and Hard to Find. Buy now.

I've been a big fan of the T.V. Batmobile since I was a kid. I've collected several versions over the decades including the Corgi, and the Husky diecasts, but I was never quite satisfied because, no matter how nice they were, they just weren't quite right. This new Hot Wheels version, while not spot-on accurate, comes closer than the previous versions. I particularly like the red pinstriping down the sides, although it would've been nice if it continued around the front and rear of the car. But hey, this is a toy. If you're really hoping for the ultimate in accuracy, you'll have to wait until early 2008, when Hot Wheels will be be releasing their 1:18 scale diecast, which will be scanned from the original car used in the '66 television show. Until then, this little gem will do nicely. (Review by Davidp.)

Batman is a fictional comic book superhero co-created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger and published by DC Comics. The character first appeared in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939). Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, a wealthy industrialist, playboy, and philanthropist. Witnessing the murder of his parents as a child leads him to train himself to physical and intellectual perfection and don a bat-themed costume in order to fight crime. Batman operates in the fictional Gotham City, assisted by various supporting characters including his sidekick Robin and his butler Alfred Pennyworth, and fights an assortment of villains influenced by the characters' roots in film and pulp magazines.

Batman is a 1960s American television series, based on the DC comic book character of the same name. It aired on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) network for 2 ½ seasons from January 12, 1966 to March 14, 1968. In 1965, ABC-TV chose George Barris to design a "Batmobile" for their soon-to-go-into production BATMAN show. The most famous Batmobile, the one from the 1966-1968 live action television show, began life as a Ford concept car called the Lincoln Futura, built over a decade earlier in 1955.

This Batmobile gadget include a nose-mounted chain slicer, lasers, rockets, an on-board telephone, radar, dash monitor, on-board computer, and police beacon. If needed, the Batmobile is capable of a quick 180° "bat-turn" thanks to two rear-mounted 10' parachutes, and it is equipped with a smoke emitter and a nail spreader to discourage pursuit. Some changes were made during the run of the series, including different license plates, a change in steering wheel, and the addition of extra gadgets such as the rear-facing camera and battering ram.
