8th December Toy Auction

by aston

As Christmas approaches, so does the last Toy auction of 2012, and with over a thousand lots, this is not a sale to be missed!

We have around 150 lots of Model Kits and also some examples of original Airfix artwork.

This 1960's Ichida (Japan) Ford-Gyron remote control car will go under the hammer just in time for Christmas, in our 8th December toy auction.

The car is in great condition for its age and complete with original box.

Estimate: £100-£120

We recently met friends in Ghent, Belgium which was very worthwhile.  Not only was their a flea market on where i bought some 30 Viewmaster reels but also found "Toys & Things" which was a shop in the Antiek-Depot.  Great choice, not only in the shop but through the depot as well which consisted of other antique dealers.

Bamfords Auctioneers & Valuers will be standing at Barry Potters Donington Park Toy Fair on Sunday 1st April 2012

We will be promoting our next Toy & Juvenalia Sale which is to be held at The Derby Auction House on Friday 22nd June 2012. Our promotion vehicle will be parked at the front of the Donington Park public entrance. Our stall will have items that have been consigned for our next sale and we will be handing out leaflets in promotion to this so please feel free to come up to us, have a chat and take a leaflet.

If you have any questions then please do not hesitate in contacting us on 01332 210000 or e-mail sales@bamfords-auctions.co.uk

Charles C Stadden

by Garry

My Wife came across these 110mm soldiers. They all bear the name Chas C Stadden. I remember when I was maybe 6 years old, watching my Grandfather sitting in his cottage nearby a canal somewhere in Scotland painting similar scale models. When I saw them I was therefore aware that somewhere there may be a good home for them. So here I am, by your web site. They are in reasonable condition, though showing some signs of being mistreated, some with bent or missing attachments too. However, I can imagine that with a little TLC and a good coat of suitable colours, they will be splendid examples of their heritage. Cana anyone suggest where they could find a good home? Garry
