BAYKO BARON 4

 BYZANTIUM 1204

The crusader camp outside Byzantium 1204 - unable to pay the blind octogenarian Doge Dandolo of Venice for their transport the crusader leaders listen to the old man's alternative suggestion

The Frankish trebuchets La Malvoisin and Le Mechant open the assault

BAYKO BARON - 14

 NEMANDIBLE HALL

Home of the Chinless dynasty since the 13th Century the present incarnation dates from the Victorian era, its predecessor having been destroyed in the nation's first insurance fire

Sir Arnold Grasp -  plastic aerial millionaire, entrepreneur and local philanthropist but also proud husband to Lady Lavinia Grasp-Chinless and therefore Lord of the Manor. At his flank the ever-present Ms Thrash, his PA, sporting her trademark red boots. Rushing to serve his new master Umble - the under-sub-tween-neath-lower bootboy - attempts the trickey double handed fore-lock tug.

Sir Arnold casts a critical eye over his market garden. Ever the competitor the great man hopes to make his mark in the local community by sweeping the board at the annual Nemandible Parva Show  - which his wife Lady Lavinia traditionally presides over

BAYKO BARON 18

 CHINLESS COLLEGE

Founded by the returning crusader, Sir Nigel Nemandible, as atonement for his part in the Fourth Crusade (BB 4) the college has been creating Chinless Wonders ever since

The statue of Sir Nigel glowers down on his distant relative - Lady Lavinia Grasp-Chinless and the colleges new patron, her husband, Sir Arnold Grasp, the plastic Bayko aerial millionaire

Sir Arnold is here to inaugurate his own contribution to the college - the new centre court library. A perfect glass and concrete compliment to the Georgian Quad and Jacobean Hall

Interesting scale model

by jclevering

It's not every day I need to add a Car Manufacturer's name to my database, to add one from the country I was born in is even rarer. But here it is anyway:

This is a road sweeper made by Ravo, a Dutch company. It's the first scale model I know of that represents this make. The scale model road sweeper is a so-called 5-series.
