Toy Car Heritage: The Mira Mustang

Posted by: TCCM in Member Blogs

Mira... In Spanish, it means "Look." Mira has done a good job of making collectors look - sometimes doing a double-take - at their exquisite models made in Alicante, Spain.

From the 1970s until September 2000, Mira offered some great 1:18 scale models. This 1966 Mustang, Mira #6023, is a perfect example of the attention to detail and correct proportion they applied to their models. A gloss black finish is accentuated by bold white stripes along the sides, authentic whitewall tires, and correct wheel covers for a Mustang of this vintage. The convertible roof is ivory; the interior is a contrasting red. Dashboard details are nice, too.
