FARM DISPLAY CARTONS

H5539 Farmer's daughter feeding chickens (5 pieces)

Set contained in a red or blue 'windmill' display carton, with the Farmer's daughter transferred from H5538. In 1962 the 'H' prefix was discontinued and around 1965 the Herald emblem was replaced with the Britains 'Big B' logo.

H5540 Shepherd and Sheep (3 pieces)

Set contained in a red or blue 'windmill' carton. Subsequent production details the same as for H5539.

FARM DISPLAY CARD  

H5530 Farmer and Daughter, Landgirl and Shepherd (4 pieces)

The only farm set issued with a half-moon display card, which Herald had used successfully for their military and cowboy & Indian figures. The front of the card is a printed with a red Herald emblem and 'UNBREAKABLE'. On the reverse are printed 'A Britains Ltd Product - Made in England' with 'H5530' stamped in black. The four figures appear in line on a pea green card display insert.

FARM BOXED SETS

Another three boxed sets were added:

H7554 Farmer's daughter, duck and ducklings, hen and chicks, 2 turkeys, 2 ducks, 2 geese and 4 chickens (13 pieces)

Issued in a green rectangular box measuring 8.75" x 7.5" with an illustrated label and pea green card display insert. Another short-lived set withdrawn at the end of 1958.

H7556 Shepherd, sheepdog, 4 sheep, 2 lambs and 3 wattle hurdles (11 pieces)

Issued in a green rectangular box details as for H7554. From 1960 the lift off lid box was replaced with a new transparent 'wheat sheaf' window box (size 10" x 9"). From 1962 the 'H' prefix was discontinued and subsequently withdrawn at the end of 1964.

H7557 Land girl, 3 pigs, 3 piglets, 3 calves and pig trough (11 pieces)

Issued in a green rectangular box details as for H7554. From 1960 this set was issued in a new transparent 'wheat sheaf' window box (size 10" x 9") and withdrawn at the end of 1961.
