I met a gentleman on the car boot sale that had as what appeared to be three trade boxes of Britains farm animals and one of Crescent Swoppets - so potentially exciting! When I opened the boxes all of them had Britains animals which while nice is not one of my areas of interests. But then when I looked closer they all had some kind of fur applied! I had discovered perhaps the only remaining box of Fiddlers Furlets in the world!

A group of new models and packaging for 1968, by now Britains were saturating the die-cast market with some gusto
Two completely new farm animals were available from May/June of 1966 - the Suffolk Mare and Highland Steer. The only other new addition that year was a useful Show Jumping Fence Set, to expand the popular Riding Series. Further casualties this year included 1720 Pack of Wattle Hurdles, 1721 Pig Trough and 2279 Cocks and Hens. The Farm Rake 9506 was also deleted at the end of the year to leave four of the traditional horse drawn vehicles remaining.
