The Ferrari 308 I got when I conned a neighbour out of it. Gave him a lousy Jag XJ6. It was silver & the windscreen pillar was broken. A little spot putty & I had a new pillar. I originally hand painted it red with those Humbrol paints. When I decided to spray I decided to redo all the handpainted cars. I stripped the shell & gave a good coat of primer & then a 2K Gloss Red. Being an 80's kid, I loved the Magnum Pi series. I decided to go with that look. I just didn't have the heart to cut the roof open tho, so I masked & painted it matt black.

Now my TV/Movie cars. I always wanted a Knight Rider Kitt in my Collection. I found the two corgis on Bidorbuy.co.za. As you can see the condition they were in. I stripped them & got them primed. I then got the black on with a bit of clear. I then assembled the cars. I then used reflective vynil for the Kitt scanner & got the plates from the net & printed on self adhesive paper, cut & fitted. Also tinted the windows. A friend bought the Hotwheels Shelby Mustang in the black with the stripes, I just added the plates & the scanners. The old Kitts & the New one.

We come to my car. I did this a few years ago. My Car is a VW Golf Mk1 Cti, a relaunch of the Gti Mk1. I had some extra paint from a little accident I had with a precast wall, so I said let's make a little 1. I found a golf 1 in my scrapyard (a shoe box). I got it primed & got the colour on with clear. I then assembled the car & added the VR6 wheels. My real car has VR6 rims. My real car has bigger bumpers than the original small bumpers that come on the Gti, so I used some spot putty to make the bumpers. I put the putty on the 1st day & then shaped the next day & got it smooth on the 4th day.I then hand painted the colour & clear on the bumpers.I then used reflective vynil for the lights & put on the number plates & window sticker.

I used the same carbon fibre look on my R8's.

The Black Gti Mk5 is a customers. He wanted a model of his car, so I bought this Matchbox & got it stripped & put on the metallic black. His car has carbon fibre fenders, grill, bonnet & bumpers, so I masked the rest of the car & put a curtain net over the portion I wanted to spray & put on the silver to give it the carbon fibre look. I did the lights with Artlines (which are more easy to handle than paint brush. I also did the tailpipes with silver & the undercarriage with carbon fibre.

The Matchbox Gti. One of my favourite cars. I had this 1 for over 20 years. It went through a lot of different looks.
