In 1966, following the success of Hasbro's G.I. Joe action figure, Palitoy introduced the Action Man. Embodying strength, heroism, and valour, Action Man was an instant hit with young boys all over the country. And now it is a hit with old boys too!
With hundreds of avid collectors scouring the web, boot sales, auctions, and attics to find that scarce medal, weapon, or helmet to complete a set, we are delighted to have this collection of figures and uniforms in our next toy sale - all in their original packaging.
Howdy! I have had a very exciting week cataloguing these Britains Herald Swoppets which are part of a large ex-shop stock collection in our next toy sale! The detail that goes in to them is phenomenal - from miniature swords, daggers, and guns in holster belts, to crests in the shape of animals.

Lego - the most popular toy of all time?
I am really looking forward to cataloguing this fantastic collection of original artwork we have received from a local vendor. It comprises hundreds if not thousands of A4 sized 'storyboard' sheets produced by Stourbridge based Data Design Interactive. The company traded from 1983 to 2009 and produced the Lego Rock Raiders game amongst many other titles.
It's going to take a while to go through all of the works and sort them properly for sale, but here's one of the first few I have looked at to whet your appetite! These images show a 3-page pen and ink storyboard for a Rock Raiders in-game movie sequence.
The Rock Raiders game was released on the Microsoft Windows PC platform in 1999, then the following year for Playstation.
We have an excellent collection of StarWars toys in our next auction - a must see for any collector!
The collection includes various rare carded figures from the 'last seventeen', twelve backs and figures with the special collectors coins in superb condition.
The catalogue will be available on Friday 15th February, however please click the following link for a preview of some of the best lots:
