Found these wooden building "block" toys in my parents house. I remember playing with them in the 60's, New Jersey. can anyone remember what they were called?

Just painted wood, although I would love to reproduce them in hard anodized (colored) aluminum. Would be very cool.

I would like to meet the person with the imagination to come up with it, as in many cases simple is best, no idea what they are called though, never seen them before.

No idea here either, but they're very cool! You seem to have lots of them too!

I did a few google searches today. Toy Building sticks and Wooden toy building sticks and there are lots but none that look like yours. I must have looked at over 200 pages of photos.

Thanks for your efforts!!!

I did image searches till I was completely out of ways to describe these boogers. Couldn't find a thing, that's when I decided to try forums.

Maybe it's because I'm an Architect, but I love building with these things! I would love to reproduce them. Obviously any patent there may have been has run out, so I guess making them for sale is fair game. Plastic, low end, mass produced, just sounds dull, I would like to see shiny, anodized aluminum in a high end, toy market.
