Another easy one, replaced the tyres and put a blue light on top instead of the red one

As bought

And the finished result

Very good result once again, but didn't you forget to mention the new coat of paint? Or did the paint magically recover once you fit the new tires and rooflight?

Thanks for reminding me Tee

Yes, in fact there are 5 coats of paint: 2x primer, 2x red and 1x clear

If you don't mind me asking, how come you went with a Blue light instead of a Red Light. The only North American emergency vehicles that use a Blue light are the Police. Fire departements, at least in Canada, do not use blue lights, only Red. It is a Rambler after all. Just wondering?

Nobleco, you are correct about the red light for the North America Fire Depts, Jim, except don't overlook the NL and other parts of Europe. I think I have seen some Blue lights on European Fire equipment...
Did you know that the Florida Highway Patrol like all the other U.S. law enforcement units having red and blue lights in the grill, rear deck and roof....... except their blue lights are on the left side and the red lights are on the right side. Opposite of all the other police agencies who have red on the left and blue on the right. dinkyboy

Well Jim, I had this blue one in my spare parts box and the orignal red one was too damaged in my opninion.

I could give the blue light a coat of red.

That explains it then. Thanks Theo, I was just wondering as you can put what ever light on the roof you like. These types of lights are not reproduced, that I know of so I use them sparingly. I have one blue one from the Dinky Snow Plough left.
