Don\'t get to race that often but if I do I noticed that the track has much poorer power at the far side from the power input. How can I improve the situation?

I have experienced the same problem a couple of decade\'s ago, and was given a cure but never got around to trying it out.

I was told you need 2 pick-up sections of track one where you normally connect the leads and the 2nd one on the furthest away section of track, run a second set of leads to the second pick-up track making sure that the leads are connected the same as the first (positive to positive) etc. of coures this tip was given to me some 25 years ago and I am afraid I am not conversant with the modern Scalextric connections.

Regards.

I had the same problem, back straight lag, and was told the same thing. If you run more than 30 feet of track, you need to run a booster, same as the railroad guys use on big layouts. Run the jump wires from the track rails and not from the power pack. That way they are powered by the controller and not just straight power from the pack.
