Here's where you can discuss all general diecast stuff - mystery items, ask who made a model of a particular car, ask for info about an obscure manufacturer or chat about anything else related to vehicles smaller than 1:1 scale!

Hi again everyone. I'm testing having a Latest Posts link under the Community tab - you won't be able to see it at the moment, but barring any issues it should be live soon.

Chris, I suspect the non-appearance of the Edit link for you is mac-related. There should be an edit button at the bottom of each post.

Dinkyjay, glad you aren't having problems!

I had an interesting result too about 5 hours ago, which took a couple of hours to fix, although I'm not sure if it was related.

Went to press reply in one of the posts.

Pressed Submit and the computer rebooted.

Naturally gave it a more thorough check and you know how long that takes.
My PC is all clean now but it no longer remembers any auto-logins no matter which 'Remember' icon I push.

I'll have to look into Internet Options again to see what went awry this time.

Probably has nothing to do with TC, but I'm wondering if it might be as simple as the old 'cookie' settings.

Oh well when I hit reply I had to sign in again .......see previous post

If it is any consolation my Windows Live hotmail log in has decided not to remember me either no matter how many times I click the box

And TC makes me sign in a couple of times I first sign in which it does not like, I then sign in again and it takes me to the sign in box under the register boxes in the green banner, then I go through the 1 to 12 actions in my previous post.

I am begining to believe that the SUBMIT button has other sinister conotations

Hehe, yeah you never know. Amidst all the problem reports there seems to be a small improvement here for me, at least. I haven't posted a lot since the change, but from the few post I've made it would appear that more of my posts go through on first attempt than before ('submit' would almost always take me to the front page and I would have to sign in. Only if I had logged in within 5 minutes or so, did this not happen)

I open my Gmail, that is where all the post you guys post go to, my email. I click on the link and go to TC. It takes me to the home page. IF I go back to my email and click the same link, I then go to the tread it is linked to. Don't know why it does that but it does.

Okay, I am on the tread and want to comment so I log in from the Blue box, top right. I never use the green flag thingy. When I log in I go to the home page again. I then go back to my Gmail and click the link, now that is three times, I then go to the tread it is linked to and can view as a member logged in. I never get logged out again as long as I am going through my emails. I do get logged out if I walk away from the computer and come back, say 15 or 20 minutes later. I think the site has an auto dissconnect feature if you not on for a while.

I don't use the remember me any where but in my eBay.

What really ticks me off is entering a reply and clicking in the reply box. As soon as I type it jumps to the bottom of the page and I can not type in the box unless I click in it a second time.
The other thing that really burns my frosting is always going to the top of the tread and then haveing to figure out where I am supposed to be. It doubles the time I have to spend on here and I already have to look at all the posts from all the site, not just what I am interested in. Ah, the joys of being a head moderator. Not just Diecast but all the site is what I get.

now that I'm using that strange anomaly desktop shortcut I don't need to log-in that often, but I have noticed that after I do a more thorough deepscan of the main drive I have to login through the green flag again.

Looks like I might have fiddled too much with my settings.
But it does not matter as I don't mind trying to remember which password I used where.

I did what you did Jim first time I had to sign in then at the home page. Flick the tab link away and I am back in my email box on Yahoo. Clink again on the tread link address and I am at the top of the page on Announcements TC and I have to scroll down and look for your post. Getting there I suppose.

You are welcome LaToya, although my Monday has nearly gone as it is now 7.25 pm eastern standard time mate. I haven't bothered with my galleries for uploading. Iam using the Upload Image direct from Windows Gallery with new images. Like this one.

Anzac Day Geelong 2012.

I know Richard will like these.
