Dinkyfan, glad you were able to sort the issue with the Dinky Logo - essentially, if you join a TC group an make it your primary group, we set it so that the group logo replaces the TC logo unless you change it as you now have - it's a bit of a "trailer" for some technology we're working on for the future. 


So, regarding the issue with the pics that move - next time it happens, can the mods please not move or delete the offending picture and just tell me (either here or by PM or both) where it's happened? For this to be investigated, I need to present the tech guys with an instance where it's happened, but hasn't been fixed so they can trace back what's going on. Thanks!

I have sent Baskingshark a PM with a link to that same thread, just a different page. Seems Dinkyboy's Foden 6 wheeler is over top or in place of some of Janwerner's pictures. It is also happening in my Gallery.

My argument on bringing the option of more control on HTML now comes with proof of why this is necessary.


I've just made a reply post with a lot of quotes which I've attempted to answer inbetween the posts. If it was any other forum this would be no problem. However, because we can't see the BB-codes some of these get copied and pasted mucking up the result after submitting.


We can see the muck up in the post, but we can't edit them away to clean up the post.


We're supposed to see this stuff before we submit the posts... not after its posted.

All I did was click on the edit button and let the site correct the code. Next time you see this Richard, Just go back into Edit and it will correct itself. You have to Take out anything you did in HTML or BB code but that is all I did.

All the garbage is gone. LOL

Its still not right.

problem is when you go and edit and then submit it, it loses half your stuff and mixes some answers with the quotes making more quotes.

Its now worse than what it was and I have to start all over again with quotes in correct sequence with all my answers.

It appears I have to get creative and prepare my quote session using the simple 'Notepad' on my computer. Then I can get everything prepared without all the other junk I can't see.

I'll edit and correct myself.

Richard, sorry about the HTML issues, it reallly is a security problem if we have it apparently - do you frequently write posts in word and then paste in rather than just writing the post directly on here?

No preparing at all. I reply and use simple copy&paste to keep it going. Problem is that a lot of the unseen html are preprogrammed into the reply system. So can't see the hidden codes until after I post.

I know what is happening. How it happens and how it can be fixed. But if the price is your security then I'll just use notepad to bridge the problem for larger answers. I don't want to be the burden that compromised your security in any way.

Nearly there now LaToya. For my own needs all we need now is to get the email links to remember to scroll down after finding the right page.


Oh yes, and something I've never seen in TC; I'd love it if we had a display of the various smileys we can use in our posts, and be able to click on the one we want to use. I only know how to make the smiling one and the sad one, never having learned the others.

Topic = "The Infinite (hopefully) Related Cars Thread", on Page #159, Picture # 2380. I posted that picture of the red Delahaye.
A few days later, I was on TC at the same time as was janwerner. I believe we were trying to replying to each other although I did not receive any of his messages and I do not know if he had received any of mine...........
.....but I later found my same pictured red Delahaye, in Topic = " 50 (not racing) car transporters" Page # 10, Picture # 135. The picture of the red Delahaye IS STILL THERE! It has replaced the picture I remember that janwerner had posted. That was a picture of the McLean tractor trailer minus a top of trailer including 2 vehicles mounted on the trailer. It is not there, but like I said, my red car IS there.
A similar picture swap of a white Rover that janwerner posted, appeared in my post, "Chinese Six", and one of my posted pictures did not appear. The white Rover was later removed by the moderator at my request, this was before the previous situation had occurred. Additionally, I believe janwerne was on TC at the same moment I was on TC. Moderator Nobleco mentioned the white Rover in a post. My reply was I could not edit it out, but like I said, the moderator on duty did remove the Rover picture. I later found the white Rover in a post by janwerner. Once again, during a time period that we were trying to reply to each other while on TC at the same time.
You may consider contacting janwerner since some of his posts and pictures were affected. Additionally, you may inform him that I initated this message because of the current LaToya Post requesting information. It is OK with me.

Heya Dinkyboy, could use an underscore to emphasize a word or two. its a simple code with the letter u in between at the beginning of the word of an l/r square brackets, the word, and followed by a left bracket right slash u right bracket to finish what you would like emphasized.

RVREVO, I would sure like to underscore except the top layout for the such does not appear for me. Additionally I did not want to {CAP} because I did not want to be accused of shouting = LOL. So I use the quotes indicator {"} as was taught in school years long ago. No underscore emphasis then.......unless I was sleeping in class. Now that was possible.
