Hi All,

I hope you don't mind me posting here. I am a casting producer with Jupiter Entertainment (producers of Modern Marvels and Biography) and I am currently looking for collectors and hobbyists with amazing collections and stories. We are looking for the hardcore collector who spends a great deal of time and money on their respective collections and are interested in sharing their story in a documentary setting.

Feel free to DM me or email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.

Thanks guys!

This is totally posted in the wrong section. I will be back and move it as soon as I figure out where it should go. Good luck on finding someone to do what you want, most are pretty tight with their toys and there access to the world.

It is off to General Chat.

What we do appears to be an odd subject for Jupiter Entertainment as the company's 'About Us' page tends to focus on big world events.

ABOUT US

Jupiter Entertainment has an enviable track record of creating successful, highly formatted series with outstanding ratings and strong renewals. From critically- acclaimed series like the explosive docusoap Sons of Guns and true crime powerhouse Snapped to established series like Biography and Modern Marvels, Jupiter has been successful in producing a wide variety of genres and formats by focusing on the timeless ingredients of great storytelling, compelling characters and high production values.

Over the past 15 years, Jupiter has produced hit prime-time series and specials for A&E, Discovery, History, Investigation Discovery, Oxygen, TruTV, Fuse, and Animal Planet. Members of Jupiter’s creative team have also produced kid’s programming for Nickelodeon, daytime how-to shows for HGTV, a music-based series for TNN and even a sports entertainment property for CBS Cable – the re-launch of the American classic, Roller Derby.

The company’s strong foundation, combined with its ability to craft stories that connect to their target audience, has Jupiter Entertainment poised to continue its success within the television industry as it explores alternate distribution platforms beyond.

Current Projects for this company are incredible and I don't see how a personal car collection could ever meet up with those expectations.

Sons of Guns
Sons of Guns showcases one of America's most skilled and creative gun works, Red Jacket Firearms, and its founder, Will Hayden. While pursuing its bread-and-butter work with customizing and improving AK-47's, the Baton Rouge-based team delves into the world of historic and classic weapons.

by the way. Jupiter Entertainment is in Knoxville Tennesee. Had a look at ten pages of employees.

I may be cynical but is it about them making money from the public who want there 15 minute's of fame!

this is the second person that want's members on this site to "help us" with your hobby, remember (Amber Davis -:toy collector case studies for national newspaper) a few weeks ago.

Probably although there is a lot of demand in the mainstream entertainment world for new fodder to feed on. One never knows to they read the fine print. As for me I cannot help myself and seem to collect anything and everything some times. As for spending big dollars not likely as I am too much a miser to part with hard earned cash.

Nar not really like that just sometimes.

Not for me this one, don't spend mega bucks. And do not go mad. I'd like too, I'm sure we all would like to go mad. But I think this show is looking for a super rich eccentric person who has lot's of cash to burn.

As for collector stories I suppose the only one I have never sell your collection as you start to kick yourself later on when you start collecting again.

Then there are those very sad stories when mother nature takes away their collection by fire or flood. The worst is when some low life comes and steals the lot.

like I said in my reply that this production company does not fit the criteria for collectors.

It will be a very short view point.

Can't even ridicule us because I believe there is at least one law student on the board who will suit their collective hides.

my 2 cents worth.

Bah, free World and if someone, anyone here wants to talk to them about their collection, by all means do so.  We can not stop you nor would we. At least I would not. If fact I would incourage it if at all possible. Go for it if you want as there are some here who have fantastic collections. They don't have to be large either to see that it is a great collection of toys.

Hi everybody,

Just to let you all know, Hobbydoc asked me via Twitter if I knew of anyone who'd be interested in participating, and I invited her to post here, so this post is officially sanctioned. If anyone thinks it might work better in another section of the forum, feel free to move it.

I'm fine with it here, not a problem to have it posted here. I have watched several of the Modern Marvels and Biography episodes, and found them to be very informative. Not sure where the idea they were looking to make light of collectors and collecting came from.

Nah we found it OK, no problems as far as I am concerned. Like it is up to the collector if they wish to participate if they are lucky enough to get selected.

Sounds good from this side of the pond. I also suggested a couple of other sites they might inquire on.
