Canadian Build Londontoys

If it came out of the box with the wings already fixed on, here's where to talk about it, whether it's diecast, plastic or made of anything else and whether it's a Matchbox Skybuster, Dinky Aircraft, Corgi Showcase, Herpa Wings or anything else. Oh, and any scale's welcome, too!

WEll I decided to fill in the imperfections on the outer body and top wing surfaces. Not the underside as there is printing there I don\'t want to cover. I have coated it with body shop green surfacing putty and will be sanding tomorrow. Here are a couple of update photos.
I know it has been a month since I last posted and over 3 months since I started this but I had to make a decision and it was hard.
Enjoy so far.

Here is what she is looking like after sanding and primering. I have to do a little more filling but it is starting to look good again. I will be leaving the underside of the wings as they are and I do not want to loose anymore of the printing there. jN

Well the next step, sanding the filler down, is done. Here are a few shots before I primer it to see how well I did in filling in the pitting.

I finally got a coat of paint on the plane and am now going to make decals for it . I still have to paint the wheels and make an axles to fit. Looking good. Still a little dent in the side but you hardly notice it.

Well here is the finished plane. I decaled it and painted the wheels and propellor Silver. I did not do the canopy as I don\'t think the original was painted in either.
Hope you enjoy!

Nice job on the resto. You actually have an earlier version of the Londontoy Hawker Hurricane.
I have a few Londontoy Hawker Hurricanes in need of new props and cant seem to find anything in my area for parts.
keep up the good work.

i might know some one who may be able to make the parts for you if you had pictures or dimensions of the prop. I could use mine but is it the same as yours?

Hi Nobleco, I will have to get back to you on that. They actually had two different props. one had thinner blades than the
other. its getting late here so I will tackle that job tomorrow. I could use a few props.. I appreciate your help.
