It looks brand new or has it never ever been used like just from the pictures I can see modern type packaging with the polystyrene although that type has been around for the last 15 to twenty years.

Very nice and the dinning car has lamps on the tables. I don't think this is very old, it looks brand new to me. Great set up. I have a Hornby from the early 1950's my Dad bought me as a kid. Still have most of it, lots of tracks and 2 engines and a few cars. Even bought an original car from England a couple years ago the is mint and matches the ones I have, which are far from mint. Play wear you know. Runs on a 6 volt system. Is your 120volt or something different with a transformer.

Yep she is brand new, and has only been run just for testing.

Its going to take me along time before i start setting it up my layout, due to space i will have to build a fairly small one.

Theres no transformer for it jim the speed control just plugs into the wall, as i remember the train set my gran bought me and my brother back in the 1990's that a transformer with it.

I have two transformers with my set but only one of them works anymore. Two controlers too so I can set up two sets of tracks. I could set up more if I had the transformers as I have loads of track. It was on a 4 foot by 8 foot plywood base and had a second sheet, 4 foot by 4 foot on one end. That held the parts that went through the mountains. Sure wish I still had that layout but Dad destroyed it many many years ago.

Oh Ya, forgot to mention that is was a 6 volt system so can be run on a car battery if you want to.
