This was my favorite Porsche in the late eighties. I dreamed of owning one of these. Alas, it was not to be. My biggest is a whopping scale 1/24, and I\'m still hoping Bburago or Maisto will make a decent model out of it.
Anyhoo, I\'ll start off with the MB7 Porsche 959, in hopefully the correct order.

Richard, how may Porsche do you own anyway. You must have shown me 50 or so the other day. All very nice cars, by the way. Thanks for posting these.

Only 10 shown here. Got a few more Matchbox Porsche 959, but Mattel stuffed up the numbers badly, so I\'m not too sure where those ones are.

Notice how the engine hood changes over the years. At first it looks like a separate piece - which it is, then later its all cast in one piece.

Don't know if anyone else collected these sets.


They came out in the final year of Matchbox Int'l Ltd in 1992 before the Tyco take-over.


The set was called the Motorshow Collection. Got Porsche, Lamborghini and Jaguar.


As this is Porsche 959 only here's one of the rarest colour variant in metallic blue.

Found another re-release. This time in a 1999 box.


Also the windows are tinted.

May only be one but it is a nice one. Black, my favorite color.
