very nice 1/18 E-classe you have there, I like 1/18 models a lot. they are packed with small details, but you have got to have room for them.

 


I would say this is a Mercedes SSKL. The "L" stands for "leicht" - light. I have the same and the SSK too.

Nice NEW Bapro - did you just chrome an old beatup one?  How did you do it? Or is it just new to you?

New in my collection! There is a lot of corrosion. The Bapros where painted, chromed and also a kind of frosted colored. Also mind the link to a Swedish museum.

Never heard of Bapro before, it is the first time I see one actually. Looks a bit like a Dinky racer, but nevertheless it is a great model

I already posted my blue Bapro here on page 7.

Thanks pixmax for that link to the Swedish toy maker Bapro short history and their link with Lego for sometime in the early 1950's. Interesting too was those other Swedish toy manufactures just like Bapro being Lenyko Gen-o-toys, Elcon and Handie that have probably gone by the wayside into history. I note with interest with the Bapro-Kopia Mercedes W154 with wooded wheels and tin hubcaps.
