Yes, the car was restored and is still alive in England.  It was white at one time when Jaguar was supporting Briggs Cunningham's efforts at Le Mans.

The Lynx Eventer was a custom bodied XJS produced by Lynx in limited numbers.  It once again showed the possibility of Jaguar Estate,  Jaguar would not produce an estate until 2004 with the X-Type.

Reminds me I need to finish painting the trim on this car.

I took three High Speed D-Types, detailed them and added decals to make the 1954 Le Mans team.  Not 100% accurate, but with a little attention the High Speed models make decent 1/43 replicas at a much lower cost than trying to find long out of production kits.

Jerry, they look great and what a nice addition to your collection, specially if they are inexpensive to buy.

Thanks!  I think they were $10-12 each.

Jaguar XKR Sebring Pace Car - While watching the Sebring 12 Hour race a couple of weeks ago, I was inspired to start a project I had been contemplating for a couple of months.  Using a Rastar Jaguar XKR as a base, Patto's decals for the racing XKR, I made my own Jaguar XKR pace car.  The photos below are the mostly complete project but for some detailing and a picture I took of the real car late last fall.

Very nice and it looks like you have captured the looks of the car perfectly. Nice work.

The base model 1/43 is from Rastar (who also makes RC models I think) and I purchased it off eBay.  It was fairly inexpensive, but a nicely detailed model.  I don't like the plastic molded tires and may try to find something more suitable and more like those on the actual pacecar.  The decals come from Patto's Place and if you have not bought decals from him, they are simply top notch (no affiliation, just a very satisfied customer.)  http://members.optushome.com.au/pattosplace/home.html  Look under the "J" section on the website for "Jguar XKR RSR - No 99 - ALMS - 2011".  Seat belts are also Patto's decals.  He has a wide variety of everything in all scales.  The light bar came from the local train shop in the O gauge section.  I made the Sebring logo decals myself.  I am not 100% satisfied with those, so may make another go.  All told, I think I am in it less than $25 USD.  I hope that helps.  Jerry

1962 Jaguar Mk2 'County" - Provence Moulage
This was a concept championed by Mike Hawthorn before his death.  Because Jaguar at the time was selling all of the sedans they made, only one example was produced.   It was used as a race support vehicle by Jaguar for many years.

how about a pic from the rear?

Here is the rear of the Mk2 County and a Mk2 saloon for comparison.
