Ahh, so that's what they look like! I'd read about those Kyosho Vanguards, but never seen one, for sale or otherwise, so thanks for sharing.

According to Model Price Guide 2011 this short-lived range was the result of an agreement between Lledo and Kyosho back in 1998. Only 8 models were ever made:

VG3012 - Shelby Cobra, silver

VG3041 - Lotus Elan

VG3051 - Cobra Daytona coupe, red

VG3061 - Jaguar E-Type Roadster, red (your model)

VG3062 - Jaguar E-Type coupe, blue

VG3073 - Lotus Europa, black

VG3151K - Caterham Super Seven, black

VG3151G - Caterham Super Seven, green

I am in the middle of a remodeling project, so I am behind on taking pictures of new additions to the collection. I have a couple new Jags I will have to show off soon.

Because Jaguar at the time was selling all of the sedans they made, only one example was produced. It was used as a race support vehicle by Jaguar for many years.
