I just bought these two a few days ago, both sold as new, not old stock or similar, just... new! Both were bought from highly rated, experienced german business sellers, but this leads to the question: what's this all about? I thought Rextoys went out of business years ago, yet shops seem to be selling them like they're still around?

Got them exceptionally cheap as well, one of them was only £4 including shipping!

Both are now being resold, but I sure hope I'll be able to get replacements because they really are exceptional models. The Packard features a finely detailed metal mascot and a beautifully engraved Packard logo in the metal rear bumper.

might be from unsold stock and then the warehouse where its stocked has a clearout.

happens from time to time.

It's a riddle isn't it, they are being sold out of France as being "new made in France" but my box says Made in Portugal.

I'm sorry I missed them when you had them for sale, I have a green Packard on my watch list but postage from France can be a bit steep.

Oh, I still have them for sale, actually the auctions have only just started. But I'm sure it would be cheaper to buy them directly from the sellers...

Go here for a choice of 14 different models at €18.00 each...

If you're after the Ford van, there are 4 of them here

www.modelissimo.de/?Ident=1291686783&Design=255

, including the Nestlé, priced €12.95 each.

For the really low prices, though, check the german eBay seller called Merge-Left. Auctions starting at €1 (this also includes Minichamps, Mattel Elite, Schuco, Norev and others), the real trick here is to get the ones that sell cheap. Check the completed auctions for any item you're interested in to get an indication of how low you can get on that item, then adjust your max bids accordingly and if you do this daily, you should soon have a super bargain.

All 3 sellers ship worldwide. Be aware, though, that the first two use flat-rate for shipping (€7 and €10 respectively within the EU). Merge-left charge, I believe, €13 for the 1st item, but huge discounts for multiple purchases. So all 3 sellers are really only good if you buy several items at a time.

I like the 1935 especially the Deluxe Tudor coupe. Gone was the Dicky seat from the 34 and replaced by the Trunk-back fastback style which stayed around for a long time. In other words instead of the hinges being at the bottom of the lid, Ford's shifted the hinge to the top of the lid making more room to stash those boxes of whiskey in the boot.
