I already had one of these in good, unboxed condition, but couldn't resist this marvelous boxed, completely unused one - I don't think I've ever seen one offered in this condition before. It features a working siren and water pump... looks like they should both be in working order! It's also, I believe, the biggest and heaviest Corgi model ever. It really is HUGE! Issued in 1976 and later reissued in simpler version without the siren.

I have never seen one of these before. Nice looking truck and working features too?????WoW, what play value there is in that.

Thanks for showing.

ok... got a little problem finding the article but I  did show my Chubb Pathfinder last year.

Like Teebodk said its a heavy model.

Mine is not complete. Siren works, but the pump spout behind the rear roller has broken off due to the roller getting stuck.

Wow she is a beast, might have a look at getting one of these. The play value of this model must have been awesome back when it came out.

According to The Great New Book of Corgi, development of this model alone cost Corgi £93.000, which must have been a lot back then. Corgi (and the others) were struggling to keep costs down and big projects like this were the cause of quite some concern.

It did sell quite well, though. For some reason I don't remember ever seeing this back when it was new, or maybe I just didn't dare to look because it was too expensive.

the problem was getting the water to be pumped out through the nozzle.

With the Dinky Merryweather it had a build-in pump action, but a serious leak and clogging problem.

The Corgi had the 9V battery powered siren that today would make less fuss and room with a watch/PC battery. What else would need so much power? Lights perhaps??? a pump?

I can't try anything out.

Looks like you need to play with the truck Mr Tee
