Hi all:

I am looking for a few things to finish some projects here. I would like to find the following:

a) chassis and cab for the 925 Leyland tipper as I already have the dump box.

b) platform raising gears for the 666 Corporal Missile Launcher. There is another fellow who has contacted me for same.

c) cab for the 32c Panhard Fuel Tanker. I have the trailer for it.

thanks in advance.

Cam: I am wondering about the winder for the Missile launching platform. Can you tell me how long it needs to be and if the gear is in the middle or offset? I have some here from the Dinky Rufuse Wagon but not sure if they are long enough.

Hi Jim:

I am missing the entire lower axle with the gears. The winder and middle axle is still intact. I have found a picture showing what I need, but still haven\'t found the gearing that fits. If you look at the picture posted, the one I am missing is the final one that actually engages the raising platform on both sides.

Unless someone in England has some in their junk boxes, I don\'t know where you would get a set from. If you had one you could have the others made. The axle would be no problem but without the right gear.....

That is indeed the issue unfortunately.

Better late than never

I have commented on the 666 problem in another forum however I have managed to get some one to manufacture these gear wheels he lives in the REPUBLIC of Macedonia they will not be cheap as they have to be made on a CNC machine he has made some in Plastic however they were not any more durable than the originals, they can of course be made in metal

His name is Ljubisha Petrovski he has a web site at www.ironforge-choppers.com

He is also a good friend of mine you can also look for him on ljubisha Skopje Macedonia on SKYPE

Cam, your not on much but email or PM me and I can fill you in on what I have going for the top hat gears that work this Missile launcher. I have source, I hope.

Anyone else need the gear for this missile Carrier truck, please contact me as the more people we have in on this the cheaper it will get. Site members involved with this too.

Any luck with the cogs, was talking to a guy on Skype living in Brunei with the same cog problem , he had investigated the idea of getting them made on a CNC, as I had but the cost would have been prohibitive, I could have told him that if I had known him earlier

I have a customer with the same problem. He sent me the toy and I took it apart. NOt sure if I have shown this here or not. I sent the top hat gear, as it is called, to our own Scruffyhippo but have not heard from him since he received it. When he gets it done I am hoping it will be strong enough to do the job of raising and lowering the jib. At the very least you should be able to post it in the part way up position.

You can see the bad one on the left and the good one on the right. They are glued on or pressed on. The right one was loose and came off just fine. That is maybe why they wear out on the left side. The right side comes unglued or looses grip and the left one has to do all the work. Gluing the new one on (when I get it) it will have to be aligned so it will work properly or you will strip the teeth off.

I have been informed that the gears are made and are very strong. Black resin. I am now waiting for the mail to arrive and then I can try them. Still need to pay for them but have not had a bill as of this writing.

Another 6 months have gone by and I still do not have any Gears and now it would seem that the member in question has no posts on this site anymore. How could that happen?
