TOPIC: Over 5,000 Matchbox Items for Sale

Over 5,000 Matchbox Items for Sale 1 year, 5 months ago #1

I've decided that December will be official Matchbox Month at The Toy Peddler www.thetoypeddler.com Last month I featured Johnny Lightning and we had LOTS of new listings to add to our over 6,500 Johnny Lightning items already listed for sale.

We currently have about 5,000 Matchbox items listed and should see a lot more this month. If you're looking for a certain Matchbox item, there is a good chance you will find it there.

For sellers: For the entire month of December, it will cost just 1/2 the normal fee to list your Matchbox items. The Toy Peddler hasn't raised fees in over 10 years and this makes it even a better bargain.Items can stay on until sold. No time limit and no final value fees. It's very easy to list your items.

We have over 18,900 members worldwide and several hundred active sellers. If you haven't checked The Toy Peddler out yet, you really should. If you register and put down Toy Collector in the "referred by" section on the registration page, I will give you $10 in free listing credits to try it out.

I bet you would! I wish I had never sold that display. It sat right next to my office desk for years. A guy has one up on my site now along with a King Size display for $1200. I was tempted.

Gorgeous display and can't figure why you would sell it. That has retirement funds written all over it.

I have all of those except for the display...

Don't need the display as I have ten Matchbox Deluxe Cases

At 49 cents I'll take them as double ups even if I've got them already.

I'll see if they want to play Two Up with me for the $10 listing fees. Actually I would like to know more about the postage fees as we go around the world.

Postage from the Americas and Britain is pretty reasonable.

Europe postage is the insane high one.

If you win anything from Europe, make sure you can fit as much as possible in the package.

The other European problem is the Goods Tax, hence the high cost.

We have MANY international members. Most sellers will ship internationally, but not all. I highly encourage all our sellers to deal internationally. Most will ship at or close to actual shipping charges. I don't like to see gouging on shipping. Not good for business.

Paul,

I have moved this thread to where it belongs.  I have asked you in the past to use this forum for your announcements and will not tolerate any more infringements.  I think it is open minded of us to allow discussions of other sites here (do you allow us to post on your site?).  If this happens again I will close your account.

Not happy,
Christian

Christian,

Sorry, I thought since we are having Matchbox month, this would have been the correct place to post. I guess the other marketplaces is the right spot, correct?

I've never been contacted about posting here before, so I am not sure what you mean by asking me before.

Paul
