Hi,

I\'m new here.
I found this site while looking for ideas on how to sell on ebay. I have new pristine and boxed Matrix, Buffy, Angel and Star Trek action figures that I want to sell. But no-one seems interested. Are there any other ways of shifting these?
Thanks for any help.

You could take some pictures and put them up here in the for sale catagory. There is a market place coming soon and that will be even better for selling, and buying. If you are trying to sell on eBay, do your research first. See what has sold and for how much and when. Day of the week, Time of day, Season or time of month. Try to corrolate the data into some sort of pattern of general ups and downs. Like Sunday afternoon (PST) to Sunday Evening is a good time for me for what I sell. Not what my wife sells. Her time is like Dinner time (PST) any day of the week. The rest of the time we seem to have very poor sales and bids. This has been done over 3 years mine you but you can get a good idea in short order by looking at what has sold in the last 90 days. Monitor current auctions too to see what they do. If there is nothing out there to see then you may have something to sell. Try one. Free to set up and get on ebay just have to set up a pay pal account and off you go.. Need help, give me a shout. jN

Hi, If you sell place close attention to the where the littlr bullets are. I had six items to sell and wanted to sell them around 9:30 pm I didn\'t pay attention and ended up starting at 5:pm because the bullet was on start now verses you picking the time and date.

I find that ebay is a bit expensive with their fees.

Try The Toy Peddler, not an auction site, you list it at the price you want for the item. Some items sell faster than others, and if it\'s not moving, you can lower the price a bit and keep trying. I\'m giving the bay a wide berth until they can get themselves back on track. I would definitely post pics of what you have here for sale. There are several members looking for what you have.

Sell in small lots - do not sell collections.
Have at least one decent picture.
Work out you postage reasonably accurately rather than loading it to compensate for a low start price. It puts buyers off.
Sell worldwide. Postage rates are easily available from the PO web site.
Only take PayPal. You get more buyers, especially overseas.
Posting overseas is no hassel. By airmail stuff arrives in Australia within the week.
The customer is always right, even when they are not. If you know you have sent a dud, accidently or otherwise, admit it and pay up.
Ignore all the doom merchants. Do not over charge.
Remember it is an auction the purest way to determine real worth rather than percieved worth. What you find is thing you think will sell well, don\'t, and it is the items you least expect to sell that attract the bidding.
If an item does not sell relist at least once. Maybe even increase the price a little, that has worked for me.
Do not expect to make a quick fortune. It still works for me for the odds and sods.
