Technic Lego Group Forum: Bricksters shows the overall of Lego collecting, but a sub-group of a certain genre like Technic Lego will focus on very specific areas of development.
Technic had its early beginnings with colored radwheels (yellow, blue, red), white axles, grey bricks with holes and red connectors. Those were the humble beginnings of how machines like 'Windmills' worked. The 4.5 electromotor block that powered the trains couls also power the coloured Technic Lego wheels. In the late Seventies Technic Lego evolved dramatically with grey rads, colored long rods with holes in the beams and several different types of connectors. At the top of this evolutionary foodchain stood the Supercar Chassis where this realistic model showed in its origins how a car works with a combustion engine, gearbox, drivetrain and differential. It also showed the working steering from the steering wheel, and adjustable seats. Every 5-10 years a newer revolutionised model would appear with evermore evolving new Lego pieces to help the inventors of Lego be ones step ahead of the kids that had other ideas. Back in the day I tried my best to build radical concepts with what little I had. Nowadays... well, I do have my favorites (8880), and I do have the latest (8070). I hope to show them on here. You may too if you want.
