Hi there,

no never seen one before. Are there no markings on the base?

I can find nothing on the base at all. Runs on 2 D batteries. Press down on the ball and it starts the leg back and then kicks. It is close to 40 yrs old.

I thought we had something similar to this but he was carrying the ball. I can't seem to locate it. I also do not know where it may come from. Maybe Japan or USA. Some countries did not put the name of their toy on or the country it was made in if it was for local sale only. I have a few Canadian toys like that. Goos luck from Western Canada and welcome to the site.

took a little longer to find this guy.

Googled images in search tag line: retro toy american  football battery operated player and found an no-longer-existing eBay sale with partial description.

I made a photo of it (images are copyrighted, make a photo and edit it) and then made a new search with the small clue which led nowhere.

poor quality is maximum zoom on a tiny thumbnail.
