Semis, artics, pickups, vans, road trains - whatever they are and whatever you call them, if they're used to transport stuff, here's where to talk about them.

Ronson,  Whats the story with the bare metal cab/chassis in the background of your Post #10 showing the components of this build.  Are we going to see that completed soon.

Hi George the two chassis you are talking about are finished, the top one was a Matchbox Superking Peterbilt it recieved chopped rear guards, the mufflers got new top and bottom exhausts ,Corgi turntable and Corgi wheels then coupled up to a Corgi bottom dump trailer, the other chassis is a Dinky Leyland Octopus its either one of these two below I did them both at the same time! Sorry about the dust its hard to get good drivers these days!

Excellent work and this is the type of work that most interests me, restoring and converting old Dinky toys.... Top class work and I would say you were well pleased with the end result...

thanks Dublin yes I,m relly happy with the result, given the chassis that was left on the Albion it worked out well. As I said in the discription the join is very strong due to the fact its fixed in three different places.

Thanks Ronson,  that Peterbilt looks to be similar colors to Kalari Transport rigs we see here in Victoria.  Do Kalari operate in the west or was this just a random choice of color.

Hi George Kalari do operate over here , I really have Corgi to thank for the idea on the colour scheme, as you know the Bottom dumper comes with a Berliet tractor with a yellow cab and black chassis in front of it, the yellow on the Peterbilt is just about identical to the trailer and Berliet.

I just put orange on the cab and a yellow chassis and black on the roof and bonnet.
