This is an older release from Tonkin. Peterbilt 379 in the Peterbilt scenic livery. 1/53 scale diecast with rubber tires and plastic detail parts. I'm not really sure exactly how old this one is, I've been looking for one for quite some time.
 Compared to other Tonkin trucks I have, this one is primitive. The cab doors do not open, and the interior of the trailer is unfinished, just some silver paint inside. The sleeper roof comes off to display the sleeper interior.  The truck and trailer are finished in a metallic paint, even the trailer roof is metallic silver. Even by today's standards, this is a nice piece, and is difficult to find. I've only seen a couple come up on ebay, and they usually go for a fair amount of money.  |
