Nope, it's a modern replica of an old truck. It's definitely 2008 or after.

The Transtar was released by DCP in late 2010 or early 2011. It is the second "old" cab over they have released, the first being a White Freightliner from the mid 1960's. DCP makes some of the finest 1/64th scale trucks on the market, and yes, the prices are not for the timid. A single truck without trailer is often in the 45.00 USD range, with complete truck and trailer sets going for much more. Some of the rarer ones can run into the 200.00 range.

Probably my favorite trailer coloring. Black and red just looks cool.

Looks like a log grapple but with the chains I guess it could pick up anything with the proper attachements. Nice model.

Very nice photos and a great looking truck

What is the use of the black ring on the truckbed as shown in detail on your last photo?

It's basically the green, red, and blue hoses on the other trucks all in one.

In the old days, the air and electric lines were all black and the ends of the line only hook up to a corresponding connection with the same end. To make life easier, they changed to color co-ordinated hoses and even the electrical lines were offered in different colors. The last company I was leased to had a black electrical line on some of the older trucks and green on the newer trucks for the new ABS brake system.
