No done any kits for a while but have got a few new one's to get to grips with soon, I'm mainly afv's and trucks and work with the smaller 1:72 /1:76 scales.

Just dug out an Airfix AEC Matador I started 4 years ago I was doing in a civi colour scheme but seem of of mislaid the paint of the body colour

Well, as long as all the parts are there, finding paint is the easy part.

That hovercraft is hell of a task, I seem to remember the little cars in clear plastic

Did one years ago then got into boats with rigging Hmmm......

Dad got the same kitset way back in 1975 when we jumped the channel from Dover to Calais.
He never completed building it and gave it to an uncle when we emigrated to New Zealand in 1977.

Thirty years later I see the same set again and got it for a bargain.
My parents were astounded I still remembered the kitset of this beast.

Do you have any idea how much money I would've saved if I only collected Hovercrafts???
Enough to have the real one and only ten scale models of toy hovercrafts.

But no, I collected cars and trucks instead... especially those I used to have as a kid.

I've got a stack of kits here that need to be built, and just haven't found the time to do the work. Too many projects stacking up and not enough hours in the day.

I was into kits in the early 80s, but haven't done anything since then. Just the other day, though, while going through the attic, I found a few unmade 1/24 NASCAR kits from Monogram - one is still sealed even - guess I should leave it like that! I don't remember the exact models, except that there's a golden Miller sponsored one and they're probably all from 1980-1983.

Yep that's the one gunner, mine is back out after 4 years and on the bench, will need a repaint as the original colour has gone missing.

Hi Gunner, nice pics you have there, I gather they fire still?

How about these babies, one of the sections at a fort in essex where we do the joinery work.

The 5.5 inch BL guns were phrased out of service in Australia with the arrival in 1983 of the first of the M198 155mm howitezers. The Anti Aircraft gun in the background at Essex looks like the 40 mm Bofors L60 while the AA in the front of the picture looks like one of the 3.7 inch Mark 11. Both these guns were phrased out in the year 1960's in Australia when the likes of the Rapier fire units took their place.
