Now the front suspension as well ...... if you look closely the primer has a slight sheen to it ......that is hair sray that was airbrushed onto the primer .....it will serve a purpose later on.

The engine has received a filter wash to help with the look of a little grease and grime and is at home sitting in the frame

Filter Wash? Please explain for those of us who have not heard of that.
Awesome build and fantastic detail for the scale. Looking forward to the next installment and the start of the body work. Not to mention the missile and trailer. WoW

Nobelco and all who wish to know ....... a filter wash is simply a very diluted pigment that is applied over paint to slightly darken or change the tone it is usually done with several aplications and is also used too achieve artifical shadows aroung raised detail and create depth to recessed detail
I usually use artists oil paints thined to a wtery consistency with zippo lighter fluid and apply with a soft sable brush......if you dont like the effect it can be washed away with straight lighter fluid.
I will answer any question about modeling , as a matter of fact i enjoy doing it , it is what makes the hobby grow and makes us all better modeleres.
