The box shows a Bedford, the truck is indeed a bizarre looking Merc, but the hubs look very nice

Is that one of your Blue Box Mobile Combat Team green Bedford or is it one you have found floating around in cyberspace. It looks if it may have been made in Hong Kong or Singapore. Entrepreneur toy maker Peter Chan Pui started his business in 1952. So the Bedford would be of that period. Have you anymore images of the Bedford and what scale would it be.

Hi Gunnerjim, The Bedford is a plastic copy of the Britains Lilliput series model, I will take some better photos when it arrives! I think the scale was 1-72.

I have the Britains Lilliput Bedford with canopy and is about 80 mm long. It will be interesting to see your pictures when the Lilliput Bedford arrives. Dazza has a goo collection of Lilliput in his collection.

Gunnerjim, I just bought the June issue of Model Collector which has a great article on the Bedford RL with a photo comparing the Bluebox with the Britains Lilliput and other makers of the RL/S Bedford..

I guess the producers of these models had a good look first at the Dinky and Corgi originals:
